Thomas is a versatile musician proficient in various contemporary styles of piano. He began his musical journey by singing and playing acoustic guitar at the age of 10, and fell in love with piano at age 15. With an ever-growing interest in exploring new musical genres, he excels in adapting his skills to suit various musical settings. Throughout his career, Thomas has had the opportunity to play in bands spanning an array of genres, including pop, jazz, country, rock, R&B, gospel, and CCM. In an effort to further play each genre as authentically as possible, he expanded his focus from the piano to the keyboard as a whole—with background in the sound-engineering world, Thomas uses handmade synth sounds using both digital and analog hardware individually crafted with purpose and immense attention to detail.
Equipped with a solid foundation in music theory and composition, Thomas possesses strong improvisational skills and an intuitive understanding of musical arrangement and stylistic nuance. His ability to collaborate effectively with other musicians in both live and studio settings underscores his belief in the importance of adaptability.
In addition to playing live, Thomas writes, composes, arranges, records, and mixes his own music.
